The application exits from the background with a few seconds’ delay if all cooking sessions are completed and no active cooking or resting phases are in progress.

If the green light on the dock does not stay on continuously, but instead for example blinks, try the following instructions

First, make sure that the dock has enough power, and close the app on your phone before proceeding.

1. Remove the meat thermometer from the dock for at least 10 minutes.

2. Place the meat thermometer(s) into the dock while the dock is in OFF mode and without the USB cable connected to the dock. The red light should now turn on (not blink). Charge the meat thermometer for 5 minutes, or until the red light turns off. If the red light doesn’t turn on at any point, try adjusting the meat thermometer in the dock and ensure that the charging contacts on the probe and the tip of the thermometer are making proper contact.

3. Now, switch the dock to the ON position. The dock may blink a green light for a moment, after which the green light should stay on. In any case, the green light should now remain on continuously.

4. Open the app. The app should find the repeater and, consequently, the meat thermometer(s). You can also hold the probe of the meat thermometer in your hand at this point to help it send temperature data continuously and be found more quickly.

If this does not happen, contact our support team. If the green light stays on, proceed with troubleshooting in the app.

When the dock is connected to a USB power source, the red light blinks as long as the dock is charging. The red light stays on continuously once the dock is fully charged. If a meat thermometer is charging at the same time in the dock, you can check the thermometer’s charging status by disconnecting the dock from the power source.

The dock’s battery status cannot be checked separately, other than by charging the dock. If the dock is not charging the meat thermometer, the dock is out of power, and you need to charge it using a USB power source.

The green light on the dock only indicates the connection between the meat thermometer and the dock.

The wireless Hehku meat thermometer can be used with roast cooked underground with some limitations, provided that the thermometer is close enough to the ground for the connection to the dock to be established. Test the connection right away.

Hehku meat thermometers do not measure the cooking space temperature.

Measuring the cooking space temperature accurately is difficult, and the difference between the actual cooking space temperature and the measured one can easily vary by tens of degrees. This has been observed in our own prototypes as well as when analyzing competitors’ products. For this reason, there is currently no Hehku meat thermometer model that also measures the cooking space temperature. We have focused on achieving the most accurate internal temperature measurement on the market.

With the repeater, the range is typically around 50m, depending on the obstacles between the dock and the device. Walls and other obstacles may reduce the signal strength.

A repeater significantly increases the range of the meat thermometer. The repeater works by having the thermometer connect primarily to the repeater, and the repeater connects to the phone. This allows the repeater to be placed next to the cooking space, where it has much better range to the phone than the cooking space itself. The repeater function can either be integrated with the charging dock or be a separate repeater device.

Hehku meat thermometer can only be connected to one phone or tablet at a time. Currently, up to 8 meat thermometers can be connected to the same device simultaneously.

Hehku meat thermometer automatically turns on when removed from the charging dock and stays on until placed back on the dock or the battery runs out.

Since Hehku meat thermometer is not turned on separately, it is recommended to proceed as follows

1. Place all meat thermometers on the docks to charge.
2. Open the app on your phone.
3. Remove the meat thermometers from the docks one by one and remember the color of each thermometer as it connects with the app.

Yes, the meat thermometer will actively try to reconnect. The app will notify you when the connection is lost.

Yes, Hehku meat thermometer does not have a switch to turn it off. For this reason, the thermometer is always active until the battery runs out or it is placed on the dock to charge. While charging, the thermometer cannot be connected to a phone or tablet.
